American Sailing Association

The American Sailing Association introduced certifications to the United States over 35 years ago. Today, with 350+ sailing schools worldwide and 508,000 ASA-certified sailors, ASA represents the largest and most trusted network of schools in the United States. We’ve taken courses through three separate ASA schools and had great experiences and learned so much!

Island Cruising

Island Cruising's Cruise 'n Learn vacations are a step-by-step instructional, live-aboard program for those who want to become competent cruising sailors. In a week of fun and excitement in Canada's Gulf Islands they can teach you how to sail, handle a yacht and navigate safely through coastal waters. We had a great time with our 800km ASA 105/106 circumnavigation of Vancouver Island on a Leopard 48!

Two Can Sail

Jeff & Jean have a "Five Step Plan to Your Cruising Dream", offering a path that can take you from "wondering if we can do this" to having a successful and rewarding cruising experience on your own boat, minimizing the drama and maximizing the dream along the way. Focused on couples, these seminars are often held at major boat shows such as Annapolis and Miami. We attended one of Jeff and Jean's courses at the Annapolis Boat Show in 2015 and it was an invaluable experience!
